The Great Outdoors—At Home
Over the past few months, sheltering in place has made us appreciate our backyards, patios, decks, porches, and stoops more than ever, with many folks using this time to spruce up these extended living areas. Sipping a cup of coffee in the morning or lingering over a candlelight dinner in the evening are great ways to enjoy your little slice of the outdoors. Our Rockridge location now stocks two new collections of Fermob, our premier line of French outdoor furniture: the Sixties collection and the Luxembourg collection. We have a few select colors in-store and can special order from a wide variety of colors. All Fermob furniture features solvent-free powder paints that are UV-proof to keep your furniture vibrant.
The Sixties Collection
The compact and curvy Sixties collection perfectly embodies the Fermob—and summer of love—attitude: resolutely young and laid back. With welcoming curves, a colourful aluminium frame, a resin seat that’s sensual to the touch, and airy woven patterns, Sixties promises gentle moments outside . . . and in.
The Luxembourg Collection
The Luxembourg collection, initially produced for the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris, has become something of a legend in its own right. Its style is an emblem of French design—an expression of French culture in furniture form! Today, Luxembourg is a fabulous collection made from aluminium and imbibed with lightness, joie de vivre, and conviviality. Fermob asked designer Frédéric Sofia to reinterpret the legendary chairs and armchairs of the Jardin du Luxembourg, created in 1923 in the Paris parks department workshops and still manufactured today by Fermob for the city’s public gardens. The result is a whole collection of furniture with the same distinctive lines and forms, combining the lightness and resistance of aluminium with the comfort of curved seat slats.
Luxembourg has gone on to become one of the best-known collections of aluminium garden furniture, meeting the full range of outdoor needs and available in all 24 shades of the Fermob color chart.
